| The Brilliant Soot-ball, also known as Dog Vomit Slime or Scrambled-Egg Slime, is actually a slime mold, measuring up to 20 cm in length by 3cm in thickness. The colours may vary from white to yellowish, including ochre or red-brown. It is very slimy and sticky to the touch . Its spore mass, found under the outer surface, is black in colour. Slime molds prefer cool, moist weather and can migrate 1 m or more along their habitat of stumps, logs or living plants. |
