The Orange Mycena is a clustering mushroom with a bright orange, 1-4 cm wide, oval to bell-shaped cap that turns white with age. The stem is 3-7 cm high, 2-4 mm in diameter, with a hollow center. The gills are identified by the darker edge but still orange-red in colour. This mushroom prefers a habitat of hardwood stumps and decaying logs.
