LITTLE ORANGE LOG MUSHROOM

The Little Orange Log Mushroom has a orangey-brown to yellowish cap, that is 2.5 cm wide, and is convex or flat. Its smooth, slender stalks are 4 cm high by 0.5-2.5 mm wide. The yellow gills are easily seen as they are narrow, but it is spacious between gills. The spore print is recognized by its white to pale buff colouring. The Little Orange Log Mushroom is commonly found in clusters, on decaying conifer wood, in Fall, Winter, and early Spring.
