The Gypsy has a 5-10 cm straw-coloured cap that is convex to flat, depending on its age. As the name might indicate, It grows scattered in conifer or mixed hardwood forests. Its whitish gills become rust-brown with age. The stalk grow to 12 cm tall by 2 cm in diameter, with smooth to slightly fibred feeling surface, and has a membranous ring. This ring is whitish in colour. The spore prints are indicated by their rust-brown colour. This ample species fruits on the ground in woods during Summer and Fall.
