The Gartered Galerina has a cone shaped to convex cap, measuring 7-18 cm, and is tan-brown with a scaly-feeling texture. The white to yellow coloured, long stem measures approximately 5-14 cm high by 1.5-3 cm thick. The Gartered Galerina can be found singular or in clusters and is found under conifers, with a preference for Oak trees.
