The Destroying Angel is white in colour. The 5-13 cm wide cap is convex to flat, and supported by its 15 cm tall and 2cm in diameter stalk. It has a skirt-like ring on its stalk. The Destroying Angel is found in hardwood and conifer forests. It grows in clusters or singly, and is prevalent in Summer and Fall.
