The Common Funnel Cap, also known as Common Funnel, Funnel Cap and Tan Fairy Funnels, has a pink-tan “V” shaped 3-8 cm cap, with a smooth, dry or tacky texture. The white smooth dry stem measures 2.5-8 cm high and 1 cm in diameter, with white or pale gills running down its stem. The Common Funnel Cap habits hardwood tree areas, with a fondness for Oaks, and occasionally Conifers. This mushroom is prevalent in Summer and Fall, and can be found singularly or in clusters.
