The Green-headed Jelly Baby is slimy and has a green, malformed, convex, cap that 0.5-3 cm in height. The dull yellow stalk is filled with jelly or hollow and is usually 2-9 cm high by 1 cm thick. Both the cap and stalk sizes vary according to weather conditions, swelling during wet seasons and shrinking during dry periods. Also nicknamed "Chicken Lips" this mushroom fruits from Winter to Spring months. The Green-headed Jelly Baby grows in clusters in wet areas that are usually accompanied by mossy conditions of hardwoods or conifers.
