The Bog Beacon has a unique cylindrical shape reaching heights of 1.0 cm and 0.5 cm in diameter on the white body. The golden-yellow fruiting body measures 0.5-1.3 cm high, 1.0-1.5 mm diameter. The Bog Beacon may be found in marshes and bogs around forest debris such as decaying leaves, pine needles, and either singularly or in clusters. Fruiting occurs in late Spring to Summer.
